Hi,

Where are the points that I can see it is a real Brabus or a fake Brabus ?
I know there are different alloy wheels, an other exhaust ( auspuf ), all that I have seen had Leahter is this always ? Another enine ( I think I can not see the difference or can i )

......

Many Thanks For your help.

Brabus had and has a licence from Daimler-Chrysler to adapt a certain amount of Mercedes and Smart cars to the specs of their tuning programme. I believe that about 10% of the roadsters have been "brabussed", but i'm not certain.
The genuine, full programme brabus roadsters have got a manually manufactured engine from the Daimler engine works in Berlin. Certain important and strained parts, like the piston, connecting rod, exhaust valves and the crankshaft bearings, have been reinforced so as to meet the demands of the raised power of 74 kW.
Also, the cludge has been altered and a water based intercooler in lieu of the conventional air cooling, has been fitted.
Some 60 kW roadsters have been refitted with an SB2 kit from Brabus, in order to enhance air intake and general turbo performance. Some like to refer to them as Brabus roadsters, but they are obviously not.
On the other side, some roadsters are real Brabus versions, but lack the exterior features, like spoilers and leather seats, which came "standard" with the exclusive Brabus from 2005. Some other 2004 versions have been refitted with these features, to enlarge the confusion .
Cosmetically, you can distinguish a 2004 from a 2005 Brabus at least by the looks of the headlight fittings and an "Xclusive" sticker at the front sides, but there are no important technical differences.
Most Brabusses came fitted with the Monoblock VI wheels and broad tires. Normally, you can recognise a Brabus by its lowered suspension, sideskirt spoilers and a small rear spoiler.

So, resuming, a genuine Brabus roadster should contain a Brabus engine (which is stated clearly visible on the engine hood itself), delivering 74 kW. This should be confirmed by the official papers that accompany the car.

I hope I could help you a little .
