Hi,
Greetings from Scotland ! Please excuse the use of english on a German forum, but I am afraid that my German language skills are very poor.
I have on order a 45Kw SR in red / black, which I hope to receive sometime in June. In the UK the 45Kw roadsters are coming from the factory with steel wheels fitted. I would of course like to upgrade these wheels to alloys, either by purchasing dealer supplied Spinlines or perhaps aftermarket wheels/tyres in a larger size. This leads me to the following question:-
Can anybody tell me the "offset" of the wheels for the Smart Roadster/Coupe ? That is the "ET" measurement which may be marked on the wheel somewhere ? I understand that 3-stud wheels are not widely available, and that I will probably have to buy 5x112 alloys with 3-stud to 5-stud convertor/spacers. If I knew the offset of the standard wheels I should be able to calculate which aftermarket rims will be suitable.
Thanks in advance for your assistance. I have found your forum very interesting, despite the fact that I have to use http://babelfish.altavista.com to translate most of the text
Kind regards
Martin.
