Yes it does! But it really depends on the type of Software you put on your car.

I would highly recommend not to buy the cheapest or easiest available remap. Go for the one that's best known and recommended by many other "club" and "board" members. For example, ML- or CS-Tuning...

Naja, ich will am Samstag dahin fahren weil viele andere von die Schwedische Smart-club da kommen.

No, it is TM Chiptuning that is coming to Göteborg this Saturday (2006-09-30).
There are several Smart cars that are going to be chipped. I am not sure if mine will be one of them but I think I will go to the meeting anyway.

OK, now I've done it. I talked to the guy from TMC and he said they used exactly the same SW as ML tuning and that they have cooperated for many years.
He said that the torque will increase from 110 to 150 Nm and that the effect will be somewhere around 100-105 hp.
Unfortunatly I haven't had opportunity to test the car properly since the weather is lousy and the roads are slippery but hopefully I will do that later this evening.

habe heute noch einmal probiert bei dem tuner anzurufen: anschluss ist gesperrt.
habe daraufhin bei ml-tuning angerufen, wegen der angeblichen, jahrelangen, zusammenarbeit:
laut auskunft von ml unbekannt....

harbster: Thanks for the input, ich will Thomas am TM Chiptuning fragen warum ML ihn nicht kennen. Ich hab ein "Barrechnung" von ihn gekriegt und da steht:

"...Wir weisen darauf hin, dass durch bla, bla, bla , die ABE- Allgemeine Betriebserlaubnis des Fahrzeuges erlischt. Eine Neuabnahme nach p 19/2 StVZO ist erforderlich".

Ich verstehe keines von dass. Was meint es?

Now I have had the tuning for a few weeks and today I had a small problem (and another guy with a roadster who tuned it the same day as me has had the same problem).

I was driving at about 110 km/h when the warning-lamp went on and the motor just stopped. I had to stop at the side of the road and the engine was jumping between 1500-2500 revs until I turned it off and started it again. Then the warning lamp went off and the motor worked fine again.

I called the german guy (Thomas Magnus, www.tm-chiptuning.de) at TMC and he promised to call me tomorrow to sort this out.

Has anyone experienced anything like this?
