Thema: Berlin emission certificate

JanneB - 19.6.2011 um 13:09

Hi!
Sorry for writing in english, hope you can bear with me.
Me & my girlfriend are planning for a visit to Berlin (which we also did last summer) but this time the hotel we are planning to stay at informs us that we need to have a "emission certificate" to be allowed to drive into the Environmental Zone of Berlin.
Do any of you know if that is necessary for a Smart Roadster which obviously has a very low emission rate, and if necessary, how to get one for a car with swedísh registration plates?

Regards from Sweden

Zitat:
By the way: the sticker for the environmental zone is applicable for all cities in germany, not only in Berlin!

Let's say for many cities, certainly not for all of them. Here's an overview:

In Bremen dürfen die Touris auch nur auf dem direkten Weg in ein City-Parkhaus
oder in ihre Hotel-Garage... Find ich auch nicht sehr gastfreundlich...aber fünf Euro
sind auch nicht die Welt

Thanks, I wrote a letter to kfz-zulassung with an application for the windscreen sticker, hope that will work.
Does anyone have any Roadster related tips (meetings or happenings) for Berlin or nearby area during the last weeks of July?

/Janne
