Thema: what to buy?

wink - 11.1.2004 um 21:33

i've got a "little" question.
i'm thinking of buying the sr, 45kW, with electric power steering, Onboard computer, 3-spoke steering wheel with steering wheel gear shift, 205/45 R16 Spikeline, air conditioning and the softouch gearbox. and for the radio, i was thinking of a "smart five", one of those which have cd. what do you thing?
i will use the car mainly for city drive, but i'll use it also for a 100 km drive once or twice a week.
do you thing the 45 kW is the right one for me? i would like small gas cost but also a very strong "fun drive" feeling!

i've tried to read the rest of the forum, but i don't know anything of german (i'm portuguese) and the "automatic translation" i was using is sh**..

please, help me out!

Hello and wellcome to the forum.
I think if you have the chance to make a testdrive at your Smart Center with both, you will choise yourself better, because everyone fell other. I have the 60kw and I will never miss it, after driving 45kw. I hope our englishguy Empty6Pack will answere you too, because his englsh must bee better. I write him to answere to you

good point! i should, indeed, go for a test drive with the two. my problem is that if i go that way, i'm almost certain that i would choose the 60 kW, with full extras.. what i wanted to know, was if the things i said in the last post were good enought for the using i am going to give it. a king of "best choise"...

thanks for your reply!

Hi wink!

Hmm, if you budget allows it, buy the 60kW... or wait a little. This depends all of your situation. Of course, the 45 kW is a nice car too, but 60kW has this little more power...

But the using you described before - sure: a 45 kW would be nice. At last it's your choice!

Hi Wink,i must say that i would advise you to buy the 80BHP version if its the driving fun with a lot of power you want I had the same choice to make before i bought mine and im glad that i chose the 80BHP version,i took both for a test drive but the stronger motor runs alot better and obviously quicker especially in 5th and 6th gear, other than that youve made a good choice with the extras,i dont know how the steering wheel paddles are for shifting but ive heard there a lot of fun and the standard smart cd radio is great i think, however your choice have fun !!!!!
