hi guys,
bother you guys again,
do you guys know where can i find Brabus steering whell

Joern - 6.10.2005 um 04:57

Hi donkeyeddy,

in germany you can order this steering wheel at the "Smart Center".

But I don't know if this part is also availabe in Taiwan?

At the website of smart (www.smart.com) your country is not listed.

I don't think someone at the club will sell his steering wheel to you.
Everyone who bought one, wont give it away

Hi Donkeyeddy!
We have heard long nothing of you!

The steering wheel costs here in the Smart centre approx. 1,000 euros, problem will be shipping. Air bags includet explosive, such a thing (or to take also as a baggage in the airplane) will be difficult.

Best of all you come by your car sometime once to a meeting.

Hi Donkeyeddy!

I post your question at theroadster.net in UK and here is one answer:

"Re: Brabus steering wheel in Taiwan?
Like you say either visit europe, or maybe get it shipped via surface mail, they could/should put a safe connector on the wiring to stop any chance of the Airbag beingtriggered by static.

Smart must have a system in place to ship components to Asia as they sell the cars there, why not just use the official spares system? how would his dealer replace his steering wheel if it was faulty?

Must be worth an enquiry!"

Thans for your reply,
We have no smart center in Taiwan, smart just a small departmant belong of MB.
The samrt car is very expensive in Taiwan, i bought SR, it's cost more than Euro30,000.-
It's only normal SR 60kw.
the parts is expensive also, everytime we request a parts, we always need to waiting for one month.

The smart service is also under MB service, the technician the have no experience to fix the smart car, my RS has smoe problem, but they can't fix it. i went to 5 times to fix my steering wheel , but it still has problem.

why we need to import the parts by ourself.
Cos the smart it not main products in Taiwan of DCT.

Thx you guys help.

Kurvenfan - 13.10.2005 um 07:37

5 times for fastening? What was the problem to fix the steering wheel?

donkeyeddy - 14.10.2005 um 03:57

the f1 pad on my steering , sometimes doesn'y work, smoetime i can't down shift with "-" pad, sometimes when i stir the "+" & "-" pad the horn is sounding.
they can not find problem, just connect the ODBII with my car, then tell me "NO PROBLEM ".

schumi64 - 14.10.2005 um 06:22

Hello Eddy,

yesterday i was in my smart center and asked for sending an steering wheel to taiwan. But the person in the SC means that this is not allowed due to the airbag module.

But he told me that every Mercedes Benz Center can order smart parts too. So its better to ask your Mercedes Benz Dealer for ordering the part directly.

Greets....Thomas

donkeyeddy - 17.10.2005 um 05:08

Thanks.
i will asked the MB center.
