Thema: Left-hand side mirror trim piece

kubark42 - 19.8.2010 um 15:10

(Entschuldigung, aber ich spreche kein Deutsch)

My Smart Roadster was recently vandalized. The left-side mirror was torn off, and the plastic mounting bracket was destroyed. The mirror assembly itself is on fine shape, but I must replace the plastic mount. This is the mount that attaches between the car door and the mirror itself. The following picture, taken from a website online, shows the part I am looking for:

Does anyone have something like this?

Cheers,
Kenn

P.S. Because my German is not very good, I'm not sure if I've done a good job looking in the Biete forum, so if someone has seen something there, a would link to it, that would be really great.

Hello!
You are looking for a mirror triangle for the driver-side in a 'usual' LHD-Roady, aren't you?
Which version? Manual or electric?
Maybe it's a good idea to first take a closer look in the so-calledroady-bible - translated by google (click) ...

Please excuse my bad english ...

Yup, yup, it's left-hand drive, I'm all the way in Luxembourg. Although I don't think that makes any difference, and I don't think manual or electric makes any difference, either. It's an external plastic trim piece, so it should (I'm hoping) be the same on all cars.

Now i really understand, I think.

You are looking for the outer part of the mirror triangle on the left hand side.
Unfortunatley there are different version available from. It depends, which version the inner part is.
Maybe you'll join http://web.me.com/kaisackmann/jhwus/page5/page41/page361/page361.html and have a close look to problem No. 2 for further explanation.

Cheers
Oliver
