Thema: Bye, bye from Sweden

Hi!

For those of you that we've (me and Malin) have met during the years when we attended to a few german roadster-meetings I just wanted to say that I have now sold my roadster after nine years.
I bought i brand new but in the recent years it has given me too much trouble, I could fill en entire page with stuff that has broken and in the end I just got tired of it since, especially in the wintertime I could not trust it at all.

I wanted to thank you all that always gave us a warm welcome when meeting you in person or writing here in the forum and we especially wanted to thank RoterTeufel for his an Marinas hospitality.

After selling the roadster I spent a month or so figuring out what car could replace it that gave me the same amount of fun and good looks. Unfortunatly there are no new cars on the market today that are similar to the roadster but after visiting several dealers I choosed a Toyota GT86:

It is a larger and heavier car but still fun to drive and the closest I could find to the roadster-feeling.

I will look in here from time to time anyways.

Greetings

Janne & Malin from Sweden

Thanks Rainer!

Yes, I still feel a bit guilty for delaying that road trip, first when the three-stripe-problem occured and then when I had to stay and leave a testimony to the police after wittnessing that motorcycle accident.

Anyways, it would be nice to own a roadster again, but since I want a new car and the chance of Smart starting to produce the roadster again is slim to none it does not seem likely right now.

Now I also have a problem that all my friends are used to recognize me when I drive the roadster since it really sticks out in the traffic, and now I feel a bit anonymos driving a "full size" car. It's almost as you feel invisible driving anything else than the roadster...

Hi!

Yes, that was our first road trip to Germany and our first roadster meeting. It was one of our best vacation trips ever, met a lot of nice people, stayed with Achim & Marina and had a lot of fun on the roadster meeting. On the same trip we also managed to visit Europark, camped in souther France, went to the Riviera and went on the Route Napolean that is said to be one of the most fun roads in Europe.
Nice hearing from you!

Janne

Found your movie about "Bergische Tour 2005" - remember and smile...

It is on youtube and must be one of the worst films ever uploaded there:

The soundtrack is even worse than the film itself...
